Picture Trail Oct

I think this may be my last post for the month of October. Realize my blog pale in comparison with some other writers ... maybe I should migrate it to Thumblr ? Is that how you spell that new "in" place to blog?

Anyway, just to cheer thing up a lil in my plain ol sphere of thoughts. Here are some random pictures ...

Not bad eh? Maybe I should do more often of this picture trail thinge.

New trial

It has been a very interesting 3 days. Interesting how when you least expect something to happen, it happens. After all, life is filled with surprises and you never know what is coming next.

Just a few days back, I met someone - a total stranger but shared so much similarities in life. There were definitely chemistry in both our communication and greetings. I would like to think that our friendship has something interesting but there is always the fear. Fear of things getting out of hand. Fear of any possibilities that could only result in void and waste. The same fear I fear that of when you look into someone's eye knowing that you can give everything you have only to have it returned empty. Worst, knowing that it can never go anywhere.

So after relating stories about his life and background, family and kids ... I begin to wonder how life would be if I would to pull the plug and switch sides. A question and taboo only to be scrutinize by friends and loved ones even before any disclaimers are made. Seeing my best friend getting married and also soon my sister, I am starting to feel that perhaps I would like to challenge and submit to the bigger picture. Will I be in denial or will it be a brand new chapter? I will never know

Those who claimed that they know me aren't really showing that they do. Those who doesn't sometimes seems more to be on the right track. As he continues talking about sticking to choices, responsible over decisions made and subjecting oneself to new commitments seems a little far fetched for the weakly disciplinary life of homosexuals. Everything changes when you are not bounded by law (or lamely put - contract) and to be absence in societal expectations sometimes allow you room to even fall out and foul play. Clear and good examples of life in the rainbow world. After all, nobody guarantee any form of bonds in either world. And to make matter worst, it seems more superficial in certain side.

Thus I question, is it worth burying a past trial for a deemed future? Either way, both futures are untold if undiscovered. To be fair, I need to start to explore and compare. Aren't self deceit and affirmation already existing in both opposite sides of life? Then, there is a 50-50 chance! I sometimes and still wonder ... how it all ends or can turn up. Will I detest and trial life to avoid the regret stare some have given me? Will I be able to see friends in any similar way and will they too do the same? Will it merely by cherishing love in the next generation for the sake of continuum in bloodline rather than familial institution.

Refreshing the times we both stood at the stairways and looking into the skies, almost lip locking only to have the door on lower ground startled us was a sign. Possibilities.

Just too much on the plate right now. But I think I am going to try to be fair to myself. Cannot be hoping any longer ...

Someone like me

I read about Ryan's blog just a few minutes ago and since I am companying my mum in the living room, she is wide awake waiting for her meds to kick in - vomiting due to gastric, I decided to spent the next few minutes to copy Ryan's post on disclosing stuff about myself. Not sure if I can do this as well as him, but no harm trying

I grew up fantasizing about mutants, specifically the X-men. Always believed that mutants exist and secretly hope one day I can jolt someone with my electric ball. Till today, I will swipe my hand to "open" the sensory sliding glass doors at shopping mall and secretly counting the traffic light and lift my hands towards it whenever it is gonna turn green just to pretend that I have powers. I am a guy who lives in his fantasy realm.

That said, I never understood why people see me as a comic joker sometimes. As much as I am happy go lucky, there are a number of people who will see me as complicated, complex or even cocky. Some see me as a person who worry and find trouble, some see me as carefree and troubless. To be frank, I am only human. I do feel both ways and on many occasion, wish that people could see my vulnerable side.

So yes I am emotional because I am a Leo. And yes to the fact to that I still think I am a boy although I had change the way I see myself after my 26th birthday. In comparison, I am definitely someone who stresses on success. Ever since young, my family is below average both income earnings (which translate to stability and growth for spending) and education (none in my family - before me graduated from Uni before). With my weak english command 7 years ago, I have push myself hard enough in the past years to improve not only my english but mentality in dealing with conflict as well as graduating recently with an MBA. All to sharpen my own skills and then found a new interest ... in learning

So I am taking up a sport soon which is most likely Tennis since my first choice of wakeboarding is too expensive. I do have expensive hobbies and taste, which is a proven track record in my history of shopping, selecting partner (not like as if I have more than two) and also interest. My favourite fashion brand is no doubt Burberry and Prada. I do have a fetish for formal wear and accessories. I find that a man's jewelry is no doubt the watch and diamonds are always man's best friend too if wore and used correctly. Subtle and Vintage is in my dictionary for fashion and Noah Mills is my all time favourite model. That said, I hardly use perfume and my last count - I had 30 shirts, 14 slacks, 42 polo tees, 13 jeans and 4 khakis. I rather not count my t-shirts.

On the contrary, I am gadget bonkers. Do not know the difference between cables, power adapters and any techky stuff. That is because both my EX and best friend are Tech people. So I rest on my laurels. Spare me the look, but because I like expensive stuff ... I tend to be more aesthetic than practical, something I deemed important. To make matter worst, I do not have FB but I do have a tweeter and blog account. I do have both Mac and PC but somehow never an ipod. I do have an iphone which I talk to everyday because I love it but never ever que for anything ... that includes food.

My favourite food are usually cooked and fragrant. Although often switched about, the ranks are quite consistent with most-least : Korean, Malay, Thai, Indian, Spanish, Italian and Japanese. I do not eat strawberries, beef and only recently begin to taste duck meat after Beijing trip. Am extremely into Pork. Tea person, Juice over Coffee and usually will snack peanut butter sandwich before I sleep. A hot mug of milo always makes me smile

I cannot sleep with an empty stomach and extremely shy if there is an absence of aircond because I sweat easily. Had wet a number of beds and feel extremely embarrassed about it when I overnight at friend's place. I usually weep quietly and hate myself for doing so by quietly sitting at the corner of the bed, waiting for the sheets to dry. Since I occasionally have severe short-term insomnia, I am used to being zombified for the next day. But I try to avoid that as I am quite hyper and lack of sleep only will force fatigue to hit me harder the next day. So, I tend to shower before I sleep and love a bathroom with rainshower and human massage. :-)

I stop smoking because I kept a promise to a person and I started drinking more than usual these days. I do not adore beer and prefer whites over reds. I like dancing and will try to end up in the club more often but a quiet jazz night or live band is always welcome in between weeks. I contrast myself very much. I grew up with Disney Cartoons and am still a big fan over them. I love ruthless bloody game where screen are splattered with blood. Contrast.

I really do not know what else to write but that I am a person probably with very interesting lifestyle and friends. I am a mummy's boy and somehow, I like that. My mum is definitely my idol and hero! So I think I am going to like to be someone's boy one day. Loved and Spoiled they said. Till then, I am going to eat my peanut butter sandwich alone and crossing fingers that one day I get to make two slice, one for me ... one for the other

ps - happy 700th post?

On Life ... 2011

It has been quite exhausting these few days. I anticipated the day my emotions will run still and it did a few hours back. I had a mental block so empty and void that even my eyes are starting to blur. Just a quick recap ...

On Work
I finalize the liquidation process today and all that is left is to consolidate the final amount and account it for boss to verify. I finally understand how tired and lonesome it gets when you have to single-hand manage an entire project. I don't ever think I want to work alone again ...

Then there is the prospect of future. Choices that one has to made. Opportunity cost that requires sacrifice. There are doubts, but are they just doubts-per say or just my own made-up worries? One is not able to forecast or evaluate a decision logically then had to rely on friends support and advise. Most of them have given a say and majority supports the idea. But why do I still feel ... indifferent? How much reassurance do I need to get or am I just being insecurely silly?

These voices have been giving me a headache and often it feels like vertigo

On my MBA life
I wouldn't say it ended because I do still get calls from my current colleagues who are persuing the course for advise. Sometimes I wonder why would they call me for them? What are the local tutors really doing? I understand certain courses are difficult to grasp but having one of the top students (scorer!) to complain and ask me for advise ... Hmmm that rings an alarm

Has the standards depreciated so much until seniors are required for guidance? In the midst of my qualms and personal struggle, and as much as I wanna avoid-take-a-break from UNI, I agreed to helping colleagues for the course and assignment. Not by contribution but by support. Alumni? Hmmm

On Friendship
I have great friends definitely all around. Each different generation (20-30s, 30-40s, 40-50s) and with different backgrounds, lifestyles and some very interesting communication habits had been showering me with support and advise. In my lowest form of self motivation and doubt, each of them had taken time to lend a helping hand and ears. I thank those who made tremendous efforts to visualise and take my problem into their own account. Nothing can describe how much I greatly appreciate the gesture. You guys know who you are, whether it is through chat, tweet or whatsapp ... you guys are loved. deeply

Also, I have become close to zombified with the idea that weekends are all packed up this coming month. Either traveling or attending people's happy day - let it be wedding, birthday or someone's open house. To be honest, I am so not in the mood. Having schedules clashing with certain events certainly squeeze juices off your brain. I now understand why you should go the distant for certain friends, it is only because they do so too.

On Healthy Living
Either than having my schedule packed up these few days, I literally only went to gym probably twice in the last 2 weeks. Although I get the luxury of muscle building during the liquidation exercise, I don't think it is effective. So, it is back to gym ... again ... and hopefully, more frequent

Then there is the new learning of GMO, harvesting yogurt from kefir or are they different? and vowing to quickly pick up a sport before I procrastinate and let the idea die. Talking about dying, I actually resurrected my long-time sport - Bowling. I didn't know that I could still play. I mean either than the occasional bowling activity with the MBA mates, I hardly step into any bowling alleys these day. But just that day, I played 6 games in a row ... all above average.

Some may say bowling is not a sport, but the stress and sweat I go through in the sport is equivalent to any contact sport. YES! I GET STRESSED UP IN BOWLING

On love
Kinda sad in this department. I mean, not to be depressing and all but after almost 20 months and still single, am I resting on my laurels or am I just irrelevant in the dating KPI? It would be nice to have someone to share my thoughts and situation with especially these few days. All the tiresome, shoulder strain (sign of stress) and emptiness could really use some tender loving care. After all, love does cushion off stress and definitely having someone important to support and lift you up is enlightening. No?

Damn, I need a rebound ...

On family
Mum looks older these days. She had been working very hard these few years to keep things afloat and because of that, I had this protective shield over her. Whenever she feels vulnerable or get hurt, I swore by her side to shield and kill. These days, she is happier but occasionally she gets over worried about many stuff out of her control. Like the idea that her daughters are growing up too quickly, the god son that she love is quite distant apart now, the mistakes she made in her business calling, the nuisance a husband can cause nearing to retirement, the hope and dream that has to be put on hold due to valid reasons, the responsibility a woman has to upheld for family, passion and her commitment to provide. Goodness, know I know where all her grey strands came from. I swore to help ease her stress load ... but I adore and salute her determination to brave through

Tikus on the other hand (my lovely dog) has shed many conversation and light into the family. I believe after me, she is the most loved. LOL

...

So that is about life for now. I gotta grab some sleep, been so exhausted these few days - ever since I went to Spore - fall sick - came back and had everything settled for the week only to know that more is coming in the week... Life ...

It's just me

If you do no listen to Sarah McLachlan, I cannot possibly date you. I am so sorry. Her song fills my soul and I need someone to hold me in bed, listening to her songs while raindrops pour through the cloudy nights.

So I feel like writing about something serious like love

I have very strong opinions on how relationship should work but I balance my expectations with reasonable acceptance and adaptations in small changes when it comes to reality. I have to admit that we do not always get what we want in life. Because of that, it is always good to do a reality check and see if all the trouble is worth the lost and found feeling that is worth sacrificing for. Love so to speak.

Many people or rather strangers I know are only into the conformity of relationship. They never really fell in love with the person, that particular special someone but rather with the idea of just having someone. When the problems intertwine between the two souls in daily life, all hell break lose and often resulting in break ups too. Conflicts arises when you are just into a relationship that you deem right, rather "WE" deem right.

I for once understood that and told LK that you either learn to live and love by the person, going through the thorny and blooming experiences without seperation or do it the harder way, learn to love the person then live by him, starting with months of friendship, genuinely design for courtship.

My thoughts of finally finding a light within the darkness, something worth learning to care and love unconditionally for was challenged constantly yet I never gave in. I always tell myself to be patience and learn. To always be adapting because it involve the other party. To always be better which one of them include practice. Practice of being honest and never lying to that person was my vow to learn and share, without judgment in hope that he will always be a great listener when in dire needs. Naked as can be, it's not comfortable to do so on my part. I never like disclosing dark stories but it is something I had learn to better share now than later. I learn to swallow my leo pride and roar it out with risk of losing it all, yet I still breath

But how come at each intervals of growth, it feels more difficult than ever? I keep asking myself how come it feels like running towards a wall each time. Enough of all the first move one has to make; asking silly questions with answers that has an open ended excuses, growing anticipation that conversation talks can evolve around the topic romance and constant demeaning of when the day it will come that it finally felt real and natural?

It never will be. Trying is tiring. Settling is foreseeable just rebound. We have communication ideologies and probably slaughter each other for the matter of just fulfilling ego boost or whatever you call them, background, work environment or plain defense mechanism.

I am feeling that it is one sided. The intertwine ideologies have caused us apart. I have let my guard down but it seems that if the other party is secluded and unwilling to bend, there will never be the story of beauty and the beast. Just like how the song lyrics depict tolerance and desire to adapt, the missing gap cripples any possible growth each desire. When one decides to dictate ideologies and stop feeling empathy, you're not suited to date because the only hurt you will cause is more pain.

Pain that you will easily brush off because you never learn that even sharing help eases the sting. If you can overcome it, probably because you did it alone. But situation and people are different. The hostility in dealing with such fragile matters has cause more tears un-cried that you could never imagine because you don't believe in it. You don't believe in him. Then you will never believe in the thick and thin, better and worse that could happen together. Staying together. Being together and living together

It is hard to get by. It really is but I know that at the end - there is nothing to lose but just mere nostalgic moments, warmth and chance to shower love. To me, that is important. I rather not have it, if it means just living by someone's settling cause, someone else's rules because when you get together, it is about us. No longer about the single battles you won or can win.

Because to learn to love is the greatest gift you can bestowed onto another. Changing their life, yours and together forever.

What ?

There are just so many things I want to write about. Right now, I just do not know what I want to write. It could be my recent singapore trip, but that would be the same ramblings about work which I should stop complaining about. Then there is the funny incident of getting con, which is like told a billion times where I am sick of saying anything about it. Of course, there is the side dish to my life - MBA, utterly boring to pen down.

Friends? Want to avoid gossips. Family? Nothing much happening except the fact that my sister look stunning today in a night gown. Bareback till can see her buttock line and F*** HER (with envious tone) looking good in an hour-glass body dress. My dog? Literally the same ol notti stuff. Gym? Haven't been there in ages! My insomnia? Half solved with the expensive bed and the other half is what I am experiencing now.

Food? Haven't got the chance to taste it. Travel? No money. New gadget? No money. Movies? Had marathon last week, wanna skip it this week. Music? Nothing much except that fireworks and just the way you are keep playing in my head.

Love? Still as complicated when it should have been easy. Fashion? No comment except that I have officially ban Uni Qlo in my wardrobe.

So what to write about? Sigh ... maybe I should go for a walk since I can't sleep but I am craving for this dish ...

Thai Ad - Disconnect to Connect

This advert says a lot about today's society. I hope friends that are close to me at heart seriously consider the severity of disconnecting present presence due to mobile addictions.

I salute the Thais for their bravery and creativity in creating such a meaningful advert.

Need help - Furry Friends Farm

I have been busy the past weekend. Yeap, nothing new you would say but I want everyone who reads my blog know about something that happened last Sunday. It was a Sunday where I skipped my MBA (rare and surprising occasion yea?), to spend time with Dogs. It started my sending my own dog to the vet, getting him treated for a skin allergy. After wrestling him to sit still in the car with one hand and the other controlling the steering, at most time asking him to shut up and just sit still, occasionally moving my view from the highway to the back mirror to take note of the boy - I finally reached the Vet clinic in one piece. Fortunately, his energy was drained and the trip back was more peaceful.

That was nothing compared to what I did later in the afternoon. K and I went shopping! For a lot of dog food and ended up doing volunteering work at a dog shelter in Kundang. Unlike SPCA and PAWS, the dogs here are not put to sleep. To date, I believe there are more than 200 dogs freely in the farm.

The story there is devastating. With dogs constantly fighting with each other for food - often ended up in blood bath, resting under the rain and heavy sun due to lack of roof shelter, sleeping among dog poo and pee, smelly dogs that haven't been bathed for ages, aging dogs coming down with disease, lack of food source, water source, cleaning works ... bla bla bla and the sad depressing stories continue.

You so gotta be there to feel it. The moment I stepped in, I teared but I told myself to hold back all the unnecessary emotions and start getting to work. For the next few hours, I gave massages to dogs, gave baths to dogs, fed them, washed their dirty dishes, cleared a drain filled and stucked with dry leaves and poo poo, clean their den and re"design" a new hang out place for them with K. Yeap, K has a serious OCD thinge going on that day. If volunteering work was allowed pass night time, he would have slept with the 200 dogs! True dog lover ... SALUTE! SALUTE!

To add, if you guys remember the pulau ketam case where many dogs were abandon at this island where they kill themselves for food, left to die and even to serve as victim to poisonous snakes ... the survivors are hosted at this very shelter. I was shocked and bewildered to find cocker spaniel breeds (two of them) in this group of cruelty. Obvious dumping by irresponsible and FUCKED UP guardians. May karma fall upon them for their cruelty! Go google how cocker spaniel look like ... you will be awed yourselves! click here to see the breed yourselves!

When I left the place, I made friends with both human volunteers and personally got attached to meimei, dodo, arthur, yoyo, bunny-wabbit, walnut, wongchoi, sipu-look-alike, scratched by ah fok and so many more! Yeap, those are dog names ~

For more info please spread your kindness at : www.furryfriendsfarm.org.my

The next round, probably end of this month ... I am going again. Please spare your kindness and help donate food. One RM can give a dog food for one day. One packet of dog food cost merely RM50 and you give the dog 50days of life or 50 dogs a day without hunger.

I again plea all my readers to help. Dogs there are not put to sleep ... the ugly truth is, other shelters do! Help the dogs ...

To end this post, picture of MeowMeow ... the dog that was blinded and I bathed him. I don't think anyone notice how heartbroken when another volunteer and I found that he has a missing eye and had to carefully bath him. His owners threw him out the house and was rescued by Sabrina, owner of Furry Friends.

I should stop, cos I end up cursing those irresponsible owners ... *teary eyes again*

Healthy gambling?

I had my first casino experience today. While at lunch break during work at Marina Bay Sands, Eagle and I visited the casino, where we each took $50 and vow to stick to the initial budget for gambling. The bad thing was, we both lost the $50 but the good thing was that was the only thing we both lose in the hour we spent there. In comparison with those aunties and uncles we saw, $50 for some of them is nothing!

I learned a few tricks myself and I must say, gambling is one game one should not get hook too. The temptation and drive of hearing slot machines ka-ching, dealers announcing the result of win, the chips in your hand and magnetic force of raising your bets is very high. The higher the feeling, the higher the risk. Eagle and I both understood the environment and also game play. We were betting on having fun.

Beginner's luck hit and I was at a good winning streak. $50 vs $125(nett). I probably should have cashed out but one silly mistake, one pride moment and one compulsion act, blacking out my conscious and all took that fortune I made away. Beginner's luck also comes in beginner's skill. I mistakenly placed my $5 chip with my $25chip in three bets. A quick second of warning from eagle, and me bluntly (or more like blindly) forgetting the value of chipped I placed and wanting to withdraw ... the dealer deals, and bye bye fortune.

The little ghost then took over, turning the winning streak into a losing one. Eagle was happy I lost. I was happy too. Reason? I learned a few things or two about gambling. The healthy and most wisely way to approach this game. A lesson and advise of two;

1. ALWAYS stick to your initial pullout money, and be prepared to lose them
2. NEVER lose your conscious mind and NEVER get emotional
3. COUNT your blessings, WITHDRAW when winning
4. LEAVE your valuable belongings, atm card, credit card, cheque at home
5. BRING someone who can stop you from being a casino-for-dummy experiment
6. Recommended pull out is 1-3% of your total salary for this GAME!

Gambling can be fun and thrilling, as long as you know your limit. Ok, that's a bias statement. Gambling can be fun and thrilling, as long as your loved ones know your limit and approve of you at the value you are going to throw down the drain.

Pessimism aside, winnings should be counted as bonus on top of the game. If Ma Jong can be healthy, I am sure having to bet on big/small dices can be too!

Dream oh Dream ... a Freaky one!

Was briefly woken up a while ago by this nightmare where I broke my own neck by falling off from a flight of stairs, then was crippled and locked in this huge, dark and mysterious mansion. It was so scary and I remember begging and screaming for help, directing all my tears to my mum. I do not know why, but I forced myself to wake up and I could feel myself drowning between the visions and my own bed.

I struggled to get myself awake and when I did, a huge surge of headache came. It was painful all right but my heart beat was racing. In sweat and watery eyes, I reminded myself that it was only a dream. Write it down quickly ... so here I am

Damn ...

The dream felt real. Very real, I remember the details so vividly that I can definitely turn my dream into a movie set. Probably with some storyline like Misery and bag an award or two for it. But why? Why did the dream came in such weird timing and with so much vision in it? The ironic thing is that mum is not even home at this hour ...

Is it some kind of sign? Some kind of premonition? Perhaps a long lost past that found its' way to my dream? Gosh, I am so superstitious ... sometimes I wish I had better dreams, like a 6 number kinda thinge...

And now I am afraid to sleep

Careful, fragile post here

It's so hard to please everyone. Lately, after drowning myself in work and studies, only able to return to bed late, like today, has caused me something dearly. I believe I've lost a professional point of view at work and got a loud thud from my boss. Although it is in the form on an email, sent late at night ... the only missing factor about feeling bad, is how "loud" actually the "word of caution" was from my boss.

In simple words, I was told not to be nossy and was in no position to comment on an actual problem at work. Sigh, I guess I am just an empty vessel manager afterall. Even with constructive commentaries, suggestions and repeatably hammering myself at work did not do any good. The fact that my boss did not openly sound me was only because he is a Caucasian and that is not the way he worked. Emails best!

Well, I guess I am just a nobody. Abandonment, relinquishing of voice to concern and suggest, home pollutions, pessimism tolled, repeated high frequency of clumsy trails and getting stuck in my studies had broken me into pieces... I am up to my nose, barely breathing and beginning to feel a nervous breakdown.

Shall keep my mouth shut and just let the world around me go spinning around. I don't think anyone cares anyway.

Lamp post with tyre

I am a muffin top! or rather I have a muffin top? Wanna know what is it? Well, K told me this. If you have a muffin-top means probably you have a tummy, overflowing your waist size. Something like this:

Yeap! That picture is none other than me!

I have a muffin-top ... and no one in the world can save me from this disaster. Gosh, I shall not defy aging then. Accept it with grace and walk away from mirrors, refrain from taking pictures while I am topless and control damage by strict guidelining what I put in my mouth (or rather my tummy!)

So sad la ... I look so ugly, thin with a tummy? It's like a curse ... it's like the old phrase coming back ... Tiang lampu dengan tayar (title)

For the Tigers!

I didn't know about this until like 1030 in the morning today after reading soon to be bride's post about the tiger blogfest 2010 and I want to do my part for the environment, for nature and definitely for the macho-manly-super fit tigers out there.

Ever wonder why Malaysian neighbourhood is never safe? Ironically, in chinese saying - having a tiger at home brings security and peace against the evil of fire and bulgary. Of course, not the real tiger ... but a symbol of it. Now we know why every year we suffer the consequences of haze and pelbagaian-rompakan (ok, mind my malay :P)

Ever wonder why we have plagues, sickness and uncurable disease? Tigers are hyperactive creatures, playful and fill with energy. They play hard and rest well, to compete in the future days. A classic symbol of yin and yang. What do we do? We kill them for medicines? What do you get in return? You get more plagues, sickness and uncurable diseases ... to top it up, earthquakes and blizzard storm! Hint hint?

Killing a tiger for fur is nonsense and rubbish in the fashion world. Be comfortable in your own skin. Why would you want to wear stripes when you can be naked! Haha... Look at a wider perspective, models need to learn to walk like tigers, proud and glamorous, striking a roaring pose at the end of the stage. Please, it's called a catwalk and shouldn't we learn from the best cat?

Tigers are usually easy target for poachers compared to their cousins, Lions . Wanna know why?, Tigers walk out in the public because they are known for their courage and bravery. So those who hunts them in the open are plain cowards! Walk with them ... if you dare!

Don't let this be the only image of tiger we have for the children of tomorrow

The tiger is our national animal! Our heritage. But today, only less than 500 of them remain in the wild. As Malaysians, we need to stand up and protect our heritage. Speak to your children. Speak to your leaders! Everyone of us can make a difference ...

As how monyetking has put it ... don't let this happen to our national emblem ....

25 things about me!

Hmmm... I remember that Ms Green Cum asked me last week to write 25 things about myself and explain them. Gosh. Believe me, I did write and when I came to no.10 ... I was so tired to think and do it. The point to write them with positive connotation attaching to each point to me is absurd! I thrive on being pessimistic. ANYWAY ... Today, she asked me about it and gosh, it drove me up the wall when I brush it off my shoulder

so ... I decided to briefly list them, yeap ... the keyword is "list" and do a nice creative twist to the idea! I hope that will do la ...

  1. I am a big fan of comic, mutants to be exact. X-Men! Wish I could fry someone with my imaginative electro balls
  2. Been trying to get a more meatier body. Personal trainer in gym helped but my arm still looked like lotus roots. Something I despise alot
  3. I got merits for being a script writer, art director but suck at talent scouting, acting and so. Those are part and parcel of my Uni life
  4. I would be convicted for attempt of murder on killing rude, impolite drivers
  5. I would be convicted for insanity, sent to the asylum for bumper-to-bumper traffic crawl
  6. Songs determine how I feel, how I should react and how I transform myself to a dancer. Side note, I am a bad singer but I love mandarin songs. Sad songs keeps me sane!
  7. In priority, my hair, my eyes and my comical grin ... my body is next...
  8. I tend to know which store is at which part of the shopping mall, which road to use in the city and how to get to an unfamiliar place by following my directional instinct. Direction whiz?
  9. Prefer tea over coffee, chocolates over donuts, mangoes over strawberries, dogs over cats, fish over birds as pets, and chinese desserts over western's
  10. Fast sleeper ... I doze off quickly

Twit Twit

Help and Suggest!

I have finally decided to have an account for twitter. I like that name, Twit. But anyway, most of my most commonly used name have been taken; andrewk, andrewkoh, andrewkin ... Andrewkin is some cute looking guy in LA! Sigh* How come I never get that kinda luck in account names

The only account name left is something I don't really like, my work email add : andrewkohkt. Which I find very China man. With the recent happenings at the Hot Air Balloon event, I really do not want to subject myself to any elements of being "too Chinaman" ... bad thing, ya?

Why Twit? Well ... It gives my friend a quick "twit" (does that word even exist???) about me and my where abouts, my feelings, my updates in blog ... whatever la! My bro in crime told me that it's more an european and US thinge. Not very Asian ... FB better for Asian ... HMM ... *eyes glowing* itulah i! Perasan dari negara lain! Haha

Anyone has any idea of what kinda account name I should give my Twit?

My Calling

I think most of you guys would have predicted my silence in blog is due to ... erm ... excuses. Haha. Well, I have been pretty lazy and you would not believe how many drafts are sitting, waiting to be published. I shall post them up by tonight ... I promise ... So if you are reading this post, kindly continue to read the other posting as below ... :P

Today's post is actually about my "calling". Yeap, I have been summoned by the higher power, my motivation and the reason why I would be facing the TV for hours and ignored calls, meals and even refrained myself from going out ... The last time I was "called" was perhaps 4 years back ... and this time ... it is coming back with full force... I can already feel it ... see it yourself!

YES ... I AM A FINAL FANTASY FAN ... LIKE DUHuh! How sick and cool rite?

Sense Studio, Uptown

I remember telling myself to blog and praise about this place, but it always skipped my mind. Since I am feeling under the weather today with my sore throat, tiresome of the jam today, emotionally affected by the church attacks and also dawning on the anticipation where my weekend will be filled with people except myself, I shall do something nice today for someone before I embark on a nasty journey through the weekend.

*Inhale*

*Exhale*

Ever since a year and a half back, I've frequent this place to get my hair cut. I have to say, the place is wonderful, spacious, very professional and damn, these two senior hair stylist are really angels sent from above. I have experienced so many different kind of hairstyles and today, I gotten one that I liked alot. A crew cut that shows off my boyish features and still get my fringe to style for any future (or if any) show!

Well, I do look like crap, but the hair cut is still good!

Take a bow and a million claps to Simon and Joanne, the two wonderful guru in hair styling and damn with RM40, you get a great hair cut, wash, head massage and a nice cup of tea. Of course, if you want to get them on peak hours, kindly call the studio and get your bookings. I prefer to meet them during lunch hours ... catch up and returned to office looking better each time.

Well ... for more information, kindly contact them at:

Sense Studio
Uptown Damansara ... Above HSBC (behind Ambank)

Time to go back and rot in my own mood.

Lucky or Clumsy?

I parked my car, collected my parking ticket (some outdoor parking outside KLCC Aquaria near Menara UOA II) and then clearly remember placing the ticket in my wallet. Then, I struggle across the street with my laptop and some files, all hand-carried without a proper bag. Walked the side walk, entered the convention center and headed directly to my retail area. Greeted my staff, gotten a quick report and update about work and just as I was about to make my rounds, checking my pocket and the little laptop case ... I found my wallet missing in action.

SHIT!

I rushed out the convention center, to the streets and scouted for the cheap-plain-black PVC leather wallet. No where to be found. Trailed my journey and I began to sweat. I remained calm and asked for my staff's assistance in helping to scout for the missing item and together, we again trailed my footsteps. No luck ... confirmed gone ... and I am drenched in sweat.

...

AH?! The trouble of going for the police report, then replacing my identification card, driving license, getting stuck in the early jam to government offices, then jamming my way to the counter to get the replacement ... urgh ... Called the banks to cancel of my credit card and etc. How inconvenient. Andrew oh dear Andrew ... you are one clumsy fellow! But how the hell I lose my wallet?

5 hours late ...

I said thank you to a caucasian businessman who works in Shell. He was walking to his office and found my wallet standing in the middle of the walkway. Yeap, standing and staring at him. The nice and kind man took my wallet and called every possible number he could locate in my ugly dark wallet, including my credit card bank, my atm bank and also my former maxis manager since I did not leave any of my business card in there. With that, Mr. Peter was able to track me down and finally pass me my belonging when I visited his home. He said I was one lucky fellow and I agreed ... of course, hating myself for being so clumsy too.

DENG~ Now I have no excuse to get a new wallet ... but at least I did not have to go through the mess of replacing my important stuffs...

Lesson to learn ?

  1. Always put your belongings in a bag; bag pack ke, hand bag ke, sling bag ke, any bag ... chances of losing a bag is less prominent compared to dropping a wallet
  2. Always double check your stuff whenever you reach any checkpoint to minimize risk of losing stuff
  3. Always, if possible, pass you belongings to be safe-kept by someone more careful
  4. Always employ or hire people like Peter. Make the country a safer place.
  5. Always get a cheap wallet, in case hilang ... tak sakit hati sangat (only applicable for clumsy people like me!)
