Changing winds

Hmm ... it seems that everyone has lost interest in blogging. Maybe timing is an issue, but the bottom line is hardly anyone update their blog. Well, just to let my loyal readers (the little few) know - I would be moving my blog to somewhere else soon. Once I get my DSLR, I want to share my photographs with all my readers. Due to that reason, I am searching for a platform that allows me to blog and upload images with user friendly "album" and "gallery" features. Blogspot doesn't provide that! How sad. So keep in touch ~~~ I might still input a few words to keep the blog alive.

Wish me luck.

The photography quest ...

Nikon? Canon? D40? The new D40X? Expensive? No? Which is better? Canon! Which is clearer? Nikon. Rebel 350D? I prefer the Rebel 400D! Rebel's lenses are shitty! Nikon lenses are better! But Nikon has manual focus! Canon has more reliable lenses? No? Yes! Other brands? Nah ~ Shitty. Price? Similiar ... Focals? Aperture? Speed? Best recommended lens : EF 24-70, f2.8 = but it is 3 months my salary! Cheaper ones = not recommended. Sigma? Awaiting news? Erm ... 1500RM ok kua? Can right? Awaiting answer ... Humidity counts? Humidity matters? A country like Malaysia how? No difference? Got! Got meh? Not sure ... -_-"' Using for? Potrait? Landscape? Potrait and landscape? Macro! I like macro shots. Lighting? Dark lighting needs smaller f.28. Borrow lighting lo! Here is where I thank Eva! Muax# love you babe. But f2.8 is safest to get. If substitute with add-on flash? Add on cash! Huh? Total calculation for Camera =

Ask yourself ...

When was the last time you spend some time looking at the sky?

or sat and listen to the sound of wave hitting the beach?

or count the stars?

or said something nice to your neighbor?

or did some gardening?

or plan some adventurous activities with your close friends?

or treat your family to a proper dinner?

or visited some charity organizations?

or helped an elderly in need?

or took a stroll down a botanical garden?

or even went to the theater?

As a working-Malaysian, one is usually not entitled to such privilege lifestyle because there is no time for such minor, not important and ignorable events. I find that an excuse. An excuse that should be proven false. Prove me wrong

Truly Amazing

It's amazing! I log onto my stat counter and realize that there are still people reading my blog! AMAZING!

I have to say that the numbers had drop to a close 70% but I suppose I am not the only one. If you take 15min to explore the blogger tabs on the right, you will realize that even the most frequent blogger has ... erm ... halt in blogging.

Why?

My only guess - The government or rather hypocritical organizations are suing bloggers. But I truly believe, that is not the reason. Everyone just got busy ... with life.

I wonder does Kennysia and XiaXue still blogs as often?

Soon ... No one will be blogging. Another ICQ case

Sleeping

I slept from 6am - 6pm. Twelve hours of sleep. I took advantage of the environment, the everlasting rain. It was a conducive environment to promote deep sleep. That said, I really enjoy myself by dozing off and just relax. In a way, it prepares me to perform at work during the night-owl shift. Of course, the rain is a blessing for me ... but also a curse for residents at lowland. Hopefully tomorrow's newspaper would not have severe report about major floods.

Previously, Sky told me that something must have been disrupting my sleep, resulting me feeling tired when I work out at gym. It is either that or my cardio level has dropped. I notice that he is right. Often when I am sleeping in the day, my closed eyes will hit the sun-reflection from my curtain and I will open up my eyes. But after 5 seconds, I am at lala-land again. Or a sudden phone ring from my house line, or the neighbor kids playing-screaming or even a simple clank-noise on the floor - will definitely wake me.

I am a fast-sleeper but not a deep-sleeper. I really need to learn how to deep-sleep. Any ideas?

New Tag available

It's my third day at work. I enjoyed the training. Everyone is like a family. The environment is conducive, friendly, comfortable and laid-back, yet people are serious when there is work. Boss is a great guy! The VC (vice-president) which is his wife is an awesome lady. They make a lovely young and successful couple... Both are equally respected too. Everyone is a great, except my immediate superior, lets called him Senior. Senior always looked moody and unhappy. Not sure why but I suppose that is fate. Remember my internship?

So? What have I done so far?

  1. Read up on company history and the industry
  2. Studied the competitors and their products
  3. Research work on our product
  4. Navigation for company's working interface
  5. Had my eyes tired during the read-up session about licensing agreement (different copies)
  6. Setup for my mail, internal database and website account
  7. Eat lunch, slowly putting on weight and hate enduring the morning jam to work!

I am working in the morning shift for at least 2 weeks, just to grasp the basic knowledge about the industry and the skills required for the job. By the way, it's an account servicing job that deals with marketing and sales. My division is for the USA market. Due to that reason, after my training, I would be working from 11pm to 7am. Odd working hours, but the pay is not too bad and I get my afternoon life free.

That aside, due to my agreement with the company, I am not suppose to blog about work. But, I can't be bothered. I am going to respect and oblige to my words, but I am still going to blog about work! I am going to use representations and metaphors to relate to office work instead. That answers the Boss, VP and Senior. By the way, there are a number of pretty gals and cute guys in my office. BONUS! haha

Soon, I will have abs beneath my eyes

Dream a lil Dream

I remembered my dream last night. It felt real. I know it wasn't but I feel it.

After a few years working in Malaysia, I finally went back to Melbourne. I spend all my savings and got myself a visa, a one-way flight ticket and some cash to sustain myself there. I arrived and was greeted by someone I never met before. He had long hair, quite thin, clean look and plays the guitar for a living. He offered me a place to stay. He lives on 5th Floor in some kind of "poorly-looked" apartment with a mini cafe below the building, somewhere near Richmond. Somewhere quite rotten.

In his room, there is 2 single mattresses and one queen size. I took the single nearest to the window. His apartment has only one living room, where the three mattresses lies and a mini shower-cum-bathroom (think of First World Hotel) and no kitchen. Rotten neighbourhood but very well kept apartment. Decided to stay with him. I called him Josh (cos maybe he looked like Josh Groban)

I tried to get online. Reception was bad. Didn't want to spend my money on some Vietnam Cyber Cafe! Tried phone-mobile since Dad is still paying for it ...but I Couldn't contact anyone. Tried reaching for people I know there but the result was quite bad. Tried Vince. Thought he could let me bump at his place instead, but I couldn't reach him. Not even Brian. Couldn't get Lisa, Belinda, Chloe or even Karen. Everyone I know in Melbourne ... seem lost. I gave up on them. Gave up on friends. Decided to be independent.

When I looked out the window, I am very sure it is Melbourne ... there is a view from his apartment. But I am not sure why I left Malaysia in such a hurry. Fell asleep ... in my own dream ... Ironic

I searched for jobs. No one would hire. Everyone prefer their own "nationality" and "people". Prioritize were given according to Color of your skin, the tone you speak and then your nationality. I didn't get any job. Hang around at the cafe most of the time.

In the end, I landed myself a tram driver job ... Earned some cash. Over a period of time, the job got me more money. I send everything I have back home. To who? I am not too sure. Sticked to that job till I was old. Nothing else paid more. That job took care of everything. In return, I looked awful ... I looked like Crap=Shit.

???

What was that about?

Sunshine

After so many days, I finally got to see some sunshine. The dark and black void has passed. There is definitely better days. And I can feel it coming! There is definitely support. I have my close friends to thank. You guys are the best, I would never had recuperate without you guys.

Move on. It's a cycle. and it applies to everything that you do!

By the way, I gotten myself a job! Haha ... Weird working hours, but Nett income. I guess it is not that bad. Moreover, I am going to be busy this year. It would be a tough time but I think I could manage it. What could go wrong? I've got a great companion to share my life burden with, I've got supportive friends who are always there to appreciate and love me and I've got myself a great, serious and fun-loving business partner!

First sincere smile in ages!

Those aside, the puppies next door are doing very well. They still love the drain. But they are bigger and easier to mange now! "Girl-girl" no longer feels intimidated by me. She is very good natured now, allows me to pat her on a while, feed her by hand and roam around her home without any complications. She even allows me to play with her pups. *Yahoo!

By the way, I've snapped a few pictures

Aren't they just adorable? I called them Blackie, Snow White and the other on, CowCow ... Hahaha. Of course, that is not their real name.

I suppose my sunshine is here, time to run, enjoy the scenery and breathe the fresh air!
