I sue you, you sue me
Today, I read the newspaper and found tons of articles about the Malaysian term used above. Almost 80% of the first 20 pages (minus 10 page of full page advertisements) are filled with our elected leaders (or the opposition) filing suit against each other. Try flipping today's newspaper; dated 21 Feb 2009 The Star and you might just think that you bought one of the local law magazine.
Person A file suit against defamation. Person B appeal to justice court about case. Lawyer C question court. Suspension, report, police, warning, review ... gosh ... the never ending story of battles.
I dream the day that I opened my newspaper and find articles about how the people feel proud of this gov project, how the gov was transparent about this and the people compliments them, how the gov has eradicate poverty and corruption rather than reading how the media dramatize or sensationalize our political field. Seriously, this is not some Bollywood movie or Hong Kong drama series.
GET ON WITH IT!
Conclusion, our political field is so hilarious and a total waste of time. Those who spend hours following our country's political agenda should change to cartoon network, which I believe is far more interesting and educational.
The writer swore not to waste 30minutes of his life reading the main paper in the future and shall divert all his reading time to blogging

Welcome 安福 (An Fu)
My family and I adopted a dog today. It's our family's first dog. 8 weeks old mutt (mongreal) puppy we saved from being (soon-to-be) put to sleep. A neighbour's female pet gave birth to 7 puppies and with limited roaming room for the front yard, they have no choice but to give them away, either to dog lovers or SPCA. Hope begins to fade as they are growing fast and no one adopts.
So, we did it. Adopt a male and name him 安福 (An Fu) which means peace + happiness and good fortune. My sister prefer to call him "Shaggy" - his english name but the whole family is quite certain to call him Fu.
Being away from his mother, he has been weeping and crying the whole morning. I stayed up to ensure he is fine. Although I am up, Fu doesnt know it. I refuse to open the main wooden door fearing that he will be spoiled. My dad is up too, although he doesnt emerge from his room, I know he is worried sick about Fu but we have no choice. Disicpline is important for a pup. As he cries away, I am here ... blogging 544am in the morning with tons of work lining up for the week.
I felt so helpless as it was my first experience caring for a pup. Hearing him wail and cry, I can't help but shed tears. I really don't know what to do. Fearful that he plays with "stupid girl" the lovely dog next door (look at post below -23/Jan/2009 - Ugly Betty next door) who had grown jealous over the new arrival at my house. She will bark at Fu at any chance to scare him off.
After a while, Fu quiets down ... asleep but once he is awake, he cries again. I understand it must be hard to be lonely - away from your mother and siblings but he have to get used to it. One way or another, we are saving him from the lethal jab. If he returns home, my parents will for sure not want him back ... that I am certain.
Fu ... be a good boy quick, sleep well ... and be strong. Your ko ko here have to sleep too! and hopefully soon

Sheryl and Edmond
Attended Sheryl's wedding last saturday. A special thanks for the lovely couple Edmond and Sheryl for allowing me to photograph their memorable day. I took over 200+ photos, but only showcasing a few below.
Starting with preparation and setup, early call for tea ceremony
One of my favourite shot, the bride's white heels;
Love the natural lighting and how natural the bride smile;
Happy people, makes a wedding a great joyful journey
Soft lighting, great pose @ hotel room, Saujana Subang Jaya - a boost of confidence for me to shoot for the vowing ceremony and dinner reception
A little Art Direction and you get yourself a wedding ring advertisement
Edmond and Sheryl
The walk ...
I like the next picture too. Although I think my angle is a bit off
Friends at dinner reception
Love her natural candid laugh. She was having so much fun!

It was my first wedding event where I was required to photograph professionally. I was nervous and fearful that I could not delivery a satisfactory standard for the couple, but Sheryl was a real sweetheart and have helped me to pull through with confidence and patience. I believe I can do better with more advance camera gadgets and of course, with practice. Definitely more room for improvement!
Will do better next time, anyone care to hire me the next round ? Haha!

MRB2
I enrolled for the second term of my chinese language course today. Yes, I am finally learning mandarin, the proper way through classes. Which is also why I have been posting in Mandarin previously. Practice makes perfect ma!
I have to say that it is quite a challenge to learn a new language at this age. Since I speak and listen to mandarin everyday, it was easier for me to understand the language but writing and reading mandarin characters is an all new ball game! The pictograph characters, radicals, strokes and having 8000+ drawing characters doesn't really help in making the language easier to master.
The only perks I get out of learning the language (still in basic level) now is that I finally send mandarin SMSes to my parents, and able to sing a Chinese song at the Karaoke, or place an order from a Chinese menu. Things that I weren't able to do in the past. Thanks to the language, I am able to decipher great music too ...
Tanya Cai -
